Sourde: https://www.japanindustrynews.com/2016/09/japan-eyes-wind-farms-power-energy-needs-sets-ambitious-goals/

Actis has launched its Japan-focused renewables platform Nozomi Energy, which will create 1.1 GW of onshore wind and solar generation by 2027.

The $500 million investment is part of the London-based sustainable infrastructure investor’s latest $6 billion energy infrastructure fund.

The first investment for the buy-and-build platform will be the acquisition from Infrastrutture SpA of Hergo Japan Energy Corp., which has 230 MW of operating and development-stage solar and wind projects, and a pipeline of early-stage projects.

Nozomi will contribute to Japan’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 compared to 2013.
